STUDIO · VLADO TRICHKOV
A studio shaped by materials and place
Crafty Place is a working studio in Vlado Trichkov, just outside Sofia—a place for clay, natural colour, material research and shared making.
The studio sits among trees above the Iskar Gorge, with the landscape entering the work through light, plants, minerals, fire and changing seasons.

SHARED SPACE
The Space
Crafty Place is a working studio in Vlado Trichkov, near Sofia. It is a place for ceramics, natural dyes, pigments and other material-based work, designed for both individual practice and small-group sessions.
Natural materials are part of the space itself — wood, clay finishes and straw-panel construction create a tactile, informal environment that supports making and experimentation.
MATERIALS LIVE HERE
Materials, tests and things worth keeping
Clay samples, plants, pigments, stones, fibres, firing tests and books gradually accumulate in the studio. Some are used again, while others remain as reference material for future projects.
Over time, the studio has become part workshop, part material library and part working archive.

THE STUDIO EXTENDS OUTSIDE
The Landscape
The studio sits directly beside the forest, and part of the work naturally moves outdoors. Seasons, changing light and materials gathered nearby often influence what is made here and how the work develops.

SHARED PRACTICE
Small groups, shared process
Crafty Place hosts workshops and longer creative sessions in small groups. The studio is arranged so there is enough room and time to work, talk and follow a process from beginning to end.
Keeping the groups small makes it possible to work at a slower pace, give individual attention and leave space for conversation, breaks and shared meals.
