The musical whisper of clay

I stared exploring the construction of clay musical instrument because for me it is part of my heritage. I'm not a musician, but the topic is somehow very emotional for me.

My first attempt at making a ceramic instrument was a small ocarina. By the time I got to pure sound, I had built over a dozen using different ceramic materials - porcelain, red terracotta, white clay, stoneware.

The origins of musical instruments are shrouded in the mists of prehistory and are believed to have existed since the dawn of human existence.

Ceramic musical instruments date back to ancient civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, Mesoamerica and Greece.

Еntering this creative world, I experimented with different instruments - maracas, flute, drum, marimba. The topic became part of my master's thesis.

And the next big project is making a mandolin and guitar.
